One of the most anticipated fiction debuts of the year hits New York City tonight as Mark Sarvas reads from his forthcoming novel, Harry, Revised as part of the Boxcar Class of 2008 reading series at 8pm. The event is at the Boxcar Lounge, 168 Avenue B in New York.

You probably already know (or should) of Sarvas’s work from his excellent blog, The Elegant Variation. But his fiction is generating an immense amount of buzz. Foreign rights are being sold right and left and British publisher Jamie Byng calls Harry, Revised “the hottest debut novel on the planet.”

So if you’re in New York, definitely head by the Boxcar Lounge for Sarvas’s reading.  You can say you saw him when…

Oh, and by the way, the cover art for Harry, Revised hasn’t been released yet. So I took the image of the book’s advance copies above from The Elegant Variation.
