John McNally’s When I Was a Loser: True Stories of (Barely) Surviving High School has crawled out of the band room, the computer lab, and the chemistry classroom to hit bookstore shelves. Containing essays from Brad Land, Michelle Richmond, Will Clarke, Julianna Baggott, James P. Othmer, and many others, the book explores the angst, humiliation, hormones, and excitement we all felt as teenagers.

And over at Maud Newton, she has a contest where you can win an autographed copy of the book. You just have to match the writers with their high school yearbook photo. Make your choices, enter the contest, and allow yourself plenty of time. Because Maud’s site will keep you entertained and educated for the rest of your day.
