Soul Patrol on Pages

The invaluable Publishers Marketplace reported on Friday that recent American Idol winner Taylor Hicks signed a book deal. The project was described as “an inspirational book presenting lessons from his decades-long path to success, striving against long odds.” The book is scheduled for publication in early 2007 to coincide with the release of Hicks’ albumn. Rick Horgan at Crown bought the book for $500,000 or higher. Alan Nevins of The Firm served as agent in the deal.

My question is… how is he going to write with all that rocking back and forth and swaying he does?

I would say the way Taylor’s career is starting out he won’t be writing anything himself. He can have someone to do that for him. All that he does is call SOUL.
you must be a chris fan.

This is so fantastic for Taylor! Taylor can be a very deep, quiet guy and he will have no problem focusing on a book deal; after all, he does write his own music and lyrics! All the “rocking and swaying” is reserved for the stage! Can’t wiat to read it!

My American father was killed before I was born, yet a few years ago somebody said to me what would I most like to hear from my father, and I said “do I make you proud”, this person had a crystal and it started going round and round, and the person said yes I do, so Taylor Hicks song Do I make you proud means the world to me. I have been in France for 6 months, hence the late comments. I am 61.
