Aspiring authors in New York City should make plans to attend what looks to be a fantastic panel discussion on what it takes to make your book take off in an industry that’s in so much upheaval right now. “A Manuscript and a Magic 8-Ball: Secrets to Success in Publishing Today” features Jonathan Karp, publisher and editor-in-chief of Warner Twelve; Johnny Temple, publisher of Akashic Books; and Sarah Weinman of Galleycat.com. The panel will be moderated by Brian Keefer, the editor of CJR Daily.

The announcement for the panel explains that “Internet marketing, demographic change, evolving habits and the growing number of books crowding the market are transforming the rules of the game for authors and consumers.” But this group of publishing experts will certainly provide useful insights for you to make your work stand out from all the clutter.

Interesting topic… I’m working in this industry myself and I don’t agree about this in 100%, but I added your page to my bookmarks and hope to see more interesting articles in the future…
