Gawker received a leaked email from Conde Nast Publications yesterday detailing their email problems. According to the Executive Director of Information Systems & Technology, the publishing goliath is “experiencing unusually long delays in the delivery of out-going email from several of our New York offices.” Which absolutely explains why I haven’t received my acceptance from The New Yorker.
But shitfire, man, it’s not as if aspiring authors don’t have plenty to worry about with their own email systems. It’s bad enough that I send myself emails throughout the day just to see if they’re going through, like a thirteen year old kid lifting up the phone to make sure it’s working while waiting for Jenny from chemistry class to call. Now I’ve got to worry about a multi-million dollar company not being able to get the Dell dude to keep their email running?
Jenny is calling you? I’m waiting for her call too!
jenny ain’t calling either of you guys because she’s with me and she’s otherwise occupied this second.
lol.
sorry for the junior high school locker room humor. too easy to resist.
Somehow I think that’s *not* the reason most don’t hear back… but if it helps you through the day, fine.
