Publishers Weekly reported that Stephen King has agreed to write a graphic novel as his next installment in the Dark Tower series. The project is scheduled to be published first as a comic book periodical by Marvel Comics in the spring of 2006 and then released as a hardcover edition in the fall of that year. The artists for the project are illustrator Jae Lee and colorist Richard Isanove.

Marvel is expected to make an official announcement and provide more details on the project today.
